Topics a tax preparer should be aware of in regard to their clients. Topics will include:
- Common Errors in Living Trusts.
- Planning for Surviving Spouse and Children from a Prior Marriage.
- Property Taxes: Propositions 13, 58, and 19: Traps for the Unwary.
- Long Term Planning under Medi-Cal.
- Not Too Early to Start Thinking about 2026 and the Estate Tax.

1) Understand estate and gift tax concepts.
2) Gain knowledge of trust strategies.
3) Learn about bypass trusts and stepped-up bases.
4) Be aware of possible future trust and estate law changes.
